DPTI and the Mitcham Council have produced plans to improve safety of the Grange Road crossing of the railway at Mitcham. We have an interest because the crossing is part of a Bike Direct route that uses both Grange Road and Abbotshall Road, which heads north from Grange Road just east of the railway crossing.
We think the plans can be improved, particularly the access for cyclists turning right from Abbotshall Road, and right into Abbotshall Road. Click on our submission: 201607 Grange Rd railway crossing safety upgrade
